Team Himalaya invites all enthusiastic travelers to join in our scenic and classic trekking to Everest Base Camp from Jiri, an old route to Everest ,following the same footpath of Tenzing and Hillary the first summiters of Mt.Everest in 1953.
An out an out adventurous experience like Everest Base Camp trek, starts with a warm welcome in Kathmandu and then taking a scenic and interesting drive to Jiri ,from where the early expeditions to Everest started. Jiri is the door to many adventurous and cultural journey in the Solu and Khumbu Everest region . From Jiri trail leads towards famous Namche Bazaar within Sagarmatha National Park. Sagarmatha National Park is listed in World Heritage Sites alongside,the mighty Mount Everest standing tall on its lap.
After Namche Bazaar after acclimatization,we head towards barren, arid moon like landscapes terrain with awesome views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Tharmasarkhu, Kwangde, Kangtenga peak including the majestic beautiful Mt. Ama Dablam .The trail also takes us to scenic and famed Tengboche monastery through pristine forest of rhododendron, birch, pines and fir trees alongside the chances of seeing wildlife Himalayan Thar, Musk Deer and Pheasants.
From Tengboche monastery we head towards Dingboche and Lobuche and to the highlight of this adventure at Everest Base Camp 5,367 meters with views of notorious Khumbu Ice Fall and glacier.Later,we climb to Kalapathar for mind blowing panorama of surrounding high giant mountains with Mt. Finally,with the pocketful of memories gathered in the high valleys and mountains of Solu and Khumbu in Everest area,we take a scenic short to Kathmandu.
