Ghatasthapana, the first day of Navaratri Parba or the nine-night festival of Bada Dashain falls on Aswin Shukla Pratipada, the first day of the bright half of the lunar Calendar in the month of Aswin, today.

The followers of Hindu sacrifice he-goat, he-buffalo, he-pig, cock, duck and pigeon and blood is donated to goddess Durga, The most significant day is Vijaya Dashami. On this very day, people from abroad and the country gather in their home and get Tika and Jamara from seniors. They go to their relatives and exchange happiness. One of the major hightlights of Dashain is playing Ping (swing).
The second most popular Hindu festival is celebrated for 5 days. Tihar festival commences worshiping crow. And the second and third day, dog and cow are worshipped respectively. The most special day among five is Vai tika . On this very day Sisters put seven colors tika on brothers forehead and put garland around their neck. At the same time sisters feed different items of dishes to their brothers and brothers offer either gift or money to their sisters. One of the most interesting aspects of Tihar festival is Deusi and Vailo. Deusi and Vailo are cultural celebrations during Tihar with music and traditional songs and dances.

The journey starts from Kathmandu with an interesting drive to low areas of Lamjung and then trekking into alpine mid hills villages of Tal besi, Dharapani and Chame town following the high trail to Manang alongside the tremendous views of Northern Annapurna, Manaslu and Lamjung mountain range .We march through isolated areas of Manang valley, to make our ascend to Pisang Peak at 6,091 m / 19,984 ft. The climbing portion will be done after good rest and acclimatization. The climb to Pisang is straight forward with few section encountering some technical climb. The grade for this climb is rated as PD ( Peu Difficile) with some technical . Team Himalaya veteran and expert guides will pave the route by fixing ropes where necessary to make the climb safe so that every member can reach the summit top without difficulty and have a successful triumph.
After a great climb at Pisang Peak, we head towards Thorang-la pass at 5,416 meters another highest point of this adventure.Later,we pass across more charming villages of Muktinath and Jomsom with everlasting views of mountains and enchanting woodlands. After completing this journey of a life time experience,we take a sweeping scenic flight to picturesque Pokhara.
