Sagarmatha National Park, located to the Northeast of Kathmandu in the Khumbu region of Nepal. The park includes the highest peak in the world, Mt. Everest or Sagarmatha in Nepali, and several other well-known peaks such as Lhotse, Nuptse, Cho Oyo, Pumori, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kwangde, Kangtaiga and Gyachung Kang. The park was listed as World Heritage Sites in 1979.

Langtang Region situated north of Kathmandu. The area extends from 32 km north of Kathmandu (aeronautical mile) to Nepal and Tibet (China) border at Kyirong and Rasuwagadi.
